Printing from woodblocks is the medium I've been exploring these previous 7 years. This interest developed following a workshop with printmake Hester Stinett at the Haystock Mountain School on Deer Isle in 2002.

Illustrating children's books is the other focus of my life. Since illustrating my first book in 1992, almost 30 books have followed. A number have received recognition through awards, the two most notable being a Caldecott Honor for HUSH! A Thai Lullaby written by Minfong Ho, and the Charlotte Zolotow Award for Creative Writing for John Willy and Freddy McGee.

Our love of Holly's prints began when we saw "Laundry Day Prayer Flag."
The complexity of some of her work, combined with a wonderful sense of movement and weather, continue to fascinate and hold viewers.
