Islesford Dock Restaurant & Gallery

Locally Sourced & Crafted with Love

summer!

Mother Nature gave us a beating, but the Islesford Dock came out swinging. Thanks to the work we had done on the pilings by Prock Marine in 2017, and Cody Seavey in 2022, combined with help from our caretakers along the way, the old girl held on through the most terrible storm she has ever experienced. We also want to send an extremely heartfelt thanks to the wonderful island community who came out to dig through the sands and wade through freezing waters to try to retrieve what they could. Team Dock is already working to repair our beloved restaurant and we are looking forward to seeing you all this summer!

We’re very optimistic about being able to reopen for summer 2024!

We look forward to welcoming everyone again for another wonderful season!

Thank YOu for a great Season!

We Will see you again in 2024!

Located on Little Cranberry Island, with
a view on the water of the fishing harbor
& the mountains of Acadia National Park.

prepared simply and thoughtfully

It's better than an oceanfront view - it's ON the water! Enjoy fine Maine dining as you sit in the restaurant...on the dock! One of only a few restaurants and art galleries in Maine accessible ONLY by boat. Once an operating fishing dock, its's been converted into a restaurant and fine art gallery and has been in operation for more than 25 years! The new owners have raised the floor and expanded the bar in order to offer more seating, and even better sunset views. The only thing better than the art and the view, is the food. Come check it out!

A Small Maine Island Restaurant Was the Inspiration for the Krusty Krab in ‘SpongeBob Squarepants’

There's a very good chance you've seen an episode or two of the incredibly popular cartoon "SpongeBob Squarepants". Even if you haven't, you know what the character looks like and may even know that SpongeBob works in a restaurant called the Krusty Krab. But even if you know those things, you may be surprised to learn that the inspiration for that restaurant in one of the greatest cartoons of all-time is tied to the State of Maine. According to the Bangor Daily News, it all started when SpongeBob creator Stephen Hillenburg spent some summers working at the Islesford Dock Restaurant on the Cranberry Isles in Maine.Read

MAINE MAG: ON a Cranberry Cove

Reached only by boat, Islesford Dock is a scrappy outlier. Jutting over the salt water at the town landing on Little Cranberry Island, it’s a beacon for the sailboat crowd, and those of us tempted by seaside chowder and cocktails.
